This series, hosted and narrated by Paul Oakenfold—one of the genre’s pioneering figures—will offer an exclusive exploration of EDM’s 40-year evolution. Paul will provide us with unparalleled access to the genre’s biggest stars several of which have committed evolvement and guide us through its transformative journey.

EDM has become a global phenomenon, from the energetic shores of America to the sun-drenched massive festivals of Europe, the high-profile nightclubs of the Middle East, and the neon-lit skylines of Asia’s major cities. Estimated to be over q $10 billion-a-year industry, EDM DJs are now superstars in their own right, with influence that spans generations and cultures. They attract massive audiences worldwide, uniting people through the universal language of dance. Their festivals, known for their spectacular production, attract hundreds of thousands and are a visual feast for attendees.

Our series will trace EDM’s origins from the underground clubs of Chicago, Detroit, and New York in the 1980s to its current status as a multibillion-dollar industry. We will feature the leading EDM DJs and follow them to clubs and festivals across the globe.
