Scott Woolley is a serial entrepreneur who has been awarded with over 150 Entertainment industry awards including four Emmy’s and a prestigious 1999 Florida Entrepreneur of the Year title. He has created and launched numerous successful business in many different industries. Today he and his wife are engaged in numerous ventures.

Early Years

During and out of college Scott interned and than worked in the music industry for Swan Song Records considered one of the most successful record labels of all time. Scott started as an intern earning credits will attending St. John University. The internship would turn into a job within the small company in New York City. Scott was responsible for getting each new album out to all radio station and concert promoters, Scott worked on the following albums: Led Zeppelin (Coda), Robert Plant (Pictures at Eleven), Jimmy Page (Death Wish 3), Bad Company’s (Rough Diamonds), Bad Company’s – Simon Kirk (Wildlife), and Dave Edmunds. During this time Scott also worked in his dads grocery stores ‘Foodtown’. Additional from the age of 17 to 21 Scott would produce and stage concerts with music act such as Hall & Oats, Charlie Daniels, INXS, Adam Ant, The Kinks, David Johanson, Southside Johnny, The Ramones, The Allman Brothers, The Go Gos, Marshall Tucker, The Police to name a few.

The Grocery Store

Scott began his career in the supermarket industry and in 1983 launched his own chain of upscale gourmet grocery stores. He grew it into one of the most innovative and successful, privately owned upscale supermarket chains in the country. In 1986 Lee Iaccoca and President Reagan asked Woolley’s to be the official caters for the reopening celebration parties for the reopening of the Statue of Liberty in New York city for 4th of July week. By 1987 Scott installed the first of its kind “in store TV network” to educate consumers about food and his stores services. He installed 24 large televisions in all the areas that a customer would normally have to stand and wait. He additional added a video department to the company and started creating content to engage the consumer. During this time Woolley had a customer who visited his store in Boca Raton everyday for two weeks each September for a few years. Woolley became friendly with the customer and the customer would tell Woolley that he needed an education on how to properly edit the video’s. Over the next three years the customer would teach Woolley how to edit. The customer was Jerry Lewis. Listening to Jerry Lewis’s stories about editing, producing, directing and Hollywood set Woolley on a new life path. Woolley’s was a supermarket chain of high-end grocery stores that was 25 years ahead of its time.

Entertainment Industry

In 1993 Scott left the supermarket business to purse his lifelong dream in television and film production, by forming the award winning Five Star Entertainment. The company created and produced over twenty five nationally broadcast television programs with some airing in as many as 53 countries along with producing content for many fortune 500 companies, professional sports teams and music artists. As the company grew Scott built a state of the art production facility with 8 edit suites two audio editing rooms and two sound stages.

As his company created television series, Scott found the need to create innovative ways of selling and airing his shows. He launched a syndication department, not only selling Five Star’s shows but other production company’s shows as well. The company also launched an international sales department to sell its content to many foreign markets. It also created a sales room of 24 associates that sold sponsorship and branded entertainment packages then woven into the shows content in a unique way. By 2007 broadcast networks were reaching out to Scott interested in his innovative approach to funding television programming, by the end of that year Scott inked a deal with Lifetime Television with a show that he had airing for a few years on Lifetime on Saturday’s called the Balancing Act to a daily morning one hour program Monday thru Friday.

National Radio Shows

In 1997 Scott ventured into radio and created his first weekly radio show “Inside the NHL” airing thru out North America, the show was THE radio show for news, info and updates on the National Hockey League. The show originated out of the Five Star studio complex each week and was the first of several radio shows he would create.

Digital Video Library

In 2006 Scott started re-packaging all of his content for digital distribution via the internet. In addition he formed a business relationship with a friend and the two would amass a video library of over 21,000 titles. Calling it ‘Classic Video Archives’, today there content library is being sold and viewed in over 70 countries. Classic Video Archives is one of the largest private film and music video libraries, with content dating back to the early 1950s, they also distribute the library thru cellular carriers and digital portals around the world.

The Balancing Act

In 2010 Scott sold off his Lifetime television series along with his production facility, allowing him to continue growing his internet content business and producing motion pictures, television specials and documentaries. In addition Scott started producing a boxing television series “World Series of Boxing” for the Olympic Governing group and IMG thru out North America for television broadcast.

NHRA Nitro Funny Car Team

In 2010 Scott partnered with NHRA Nitro Funny Car Driver Alexis DeJoria and her father John Paul DeJoria creating and launching Alexis DeJoria Racing, Scott generated and executed all sponsorship’s, endorsements, created an amazing retail merchandise line and oversaw the public relations, and marketing team. For the first two years Scott oversaw the day to day operations, and launch and was President of the team.

Thru out Scott’s life he has always been involve in the development, sales and marketing of many retail products and brands via his company The SW Group a company that has oversees the daily business operations of numerous companies and brands, some of which include a high-end interior design company (TW Interiors), and entertainment agency (The Scott Woolley Entertainment Company), an audio visual company (TW Audio Video), a line of liquor infused cakes for The Patron Spirits Company and Jack Daniels, Intellergender, John Paul Pet Shampoo Products and many others. In addition Scott has assisted many of his celebrity friends in creating and launching their own retail product line, including Dan Marino and Kristi Yamaguchi.
