Active Living the Television Series that made a difference

Active Living was a 30-minute television series hosted by the beloved actor Robert Urich. Created and produced by Scott Woolley and his dedicated Five Star team, the show aimed to assist Baby Boomers in navigating the challenges of an ever-evolving life experience. With a focus on addressing the needs of the largest population segment as they transitioned into retirement, the series tackled a wide range of topics including finance, health, travel, fitness, and nutrition. Airing from 1998 to 2002, Active Living provided viewers with informative and educational content to help them make the most of this new phase of life.

Robert Urich not only hosted Active Living but also appeared in numerous episodes of Woolley’s Today Health television series. The show comprised a total of fifty-two episodes, all of which were filmed in the picturesque setting of Palm Beach County, Florida. Woolley fondly remembers his time working alongside Robert and John Wall, Robert’s agent at the time, reflecting on the cherished memories they created together. “It is a tragedy that Urich left us so soon,” Woolley remarked. “I will always hold dear the friendship I shared with Robert.”
